Registration Scam: Most federal government contracting registrations including the new System for Award Management (SAM) which includes Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) & Online Reps & Certs (ORCA) do not require any fees. These include filings and renewals. Register online for government contracts with the no charge assistance offered by the 97 PTAC organizations in the U.S. See the link above to locate your state's PTAP.

Equifax Scam - we received an inquiry about a fax document that comes in from Equifax Credit Information Services - Government Division saying that you recently registered as a prospective customer for procurements issued by the U.S. Federal Government and asks you to fill out a form to release your financial information. We contacted Equifax and they indicated this is a scam. They have not posted anything on their website. Please ignore any requests to release your financial information to anyone. If you are ever the least bit unsure please contact us.
